2012 Bonnie Nelson Scholarship Applications Now Available

The Bonnie Nelson Music Scholarship Fund is directed toward Loudon County students in middle school through grade 10. This fund began with memorial contributions for Bonnie Nelson,

who enjoyed music and was a middle school teacher. Its purpose is to encourage musicianship in students who show interest and promise if given the opportunity to develop their talent. Payment assistance for lessons, instrument rental, or experiences such as summer Band Camp is provided to students who demonstrate a strong desire to achieve proficiency in their chosen area of music. Students may apply in February for scholarships to be awarded in May for use the following school year. Applications are available through the school music teachers.

Tax deductible contributions in the form of checks should be made out to Tellico Village Community Concerts, Inc. with a designation in the memo section directing the gift to the Nelson Fund. Questions regarding contributions, the application process, or eligibility may be directed to Bob Nelson, 865-458-6948.
